Hi Dmitry, and thanks for the great work you done so far building this wonderful component.

My problem, I was able to install things and create the map and insert Placemarks, but every time I try to insert a mail address into the "Addition HTML text" field, this kills the map. Any idea of how I can insert a mail address into this field without causing problems?

Thanks Knuth

Hi.
It is done by joomla plugin to escape your mail from spam bots.
I know about that, and many times answer

bad suggestions
1 - you can add spaces between and after @, you'll see mail address, but if you try to mail to it, you have to remove this spaces in mail agent program
2 - you can add image with mail

more useful
1 - you can get result, which produce plugin (you can see comments). Copy and paste into this field
2 - you can replace @ symbol by code @
for example
test@test.net
to
test@test.net
In second case plugin don't find @ symbol :)

Hi Dmitry,

bad suggestions

yes, bad. Not a useful way in terms of usability and not easy to maintain by an average customer and visitor.

more useful

#1 sorry I don't understand your answer.
#2 see attached file for the result. It will not be decoded :( Any suggestion?

Or do I have to deactivate the "Content - Email Cloaking" Plugin?!?

Sorry, I think #2 it will not do your result, because I escape & symbol.

As a new version of #2 is
2 - you can use contacts. You can use contact integration, and enter into contact its email, and after that show only needed contact fields into infowin. In this case I'll do replace @ to code.

As for one - when plugin generate escape code, it write HTML comments in the beginning and in the end of its replace code. You can copy this code and include into additional HTML field, in this case I think all wil be OK.

You can disable this plugin, but you can understand, in that case spam bots can get your email address from page

Hi Dmitry,

thanks for your quick response.

I'm afraid, but I wasn't able to solve it using the contacts possibility. It never showed up any information in the pop window. Under "Integration" I took the contact that was set-up before, where I inserted the website and the mail address...

I deactivated the "Content - Email Cloaking" Plugin. Perhaps you add a new field named mail in the next program update?!? as this is, from my point of view, the second important field after the internet website address.

Hi Dmitry,

my fault, I've overseen to enable the use of contacts in the map settings:

But to be honest it looked not that good so for the time now, I stay with the disabled "Content - Email Cloaking" Plugin.

thanks
Knuth
