Marker icons can't display

I’ve run into this problem where my markers don’t show up on my map.

Even when I go into the admin, I get an image not found icon.

Also, when trying to open the icon link directly I get an error that the file can’t be found.

Other icons in the assets folder show up just fine though.

I emailed my system admin and he tells me it’s because of the # in the file name.

Problem is these seem to be hardcoded in your extension.

Is there a workaround for this ?

Yes, my icons can contains that symbol (#), but when I create page, I replace it to another (escape it to %23).

for example
villest-tite.com/j3/administrator/compon...icons/default%23.png

will display fine. Ie if you want to show your image and file contains special characters, you have to escape it

Could this be then that it's caused by the site being in a subfolder (j3) inside the root folder, with a htaccess file to rewrite ?

Nope. Icons without # show up fine. Both in the map rendering and in the admin, while those with a # don't show up neither in the maps, nor in the admin.

In fact, I just solved that problem by making my own icons, which I had to do at some point anyway.

But now that this is solved I think the same problem may be happening to the maps scaling and other controls for example. I can see a bit of garbled stuff where the scaling control is supposed to be located, but no control image. You can see for yourself at
