Map Shows Instead of Placemark

I have gone around in circles for a few days with this one. I cannot seem to get the placemarks to show, only the map.
I have tried various ways of using the plugin code: current one is this
{zhgooglemap-marker:2;PLACEMARK;17;ROADMAP;0;do not change;bounce}
alternatives like...
{zhgooglemap-marker:2;;;;;;}
and
{zhgooglemap-marker:2;;;;0;;}
but always just the map.
I am wondering if it is a setting in the map I have set up, that is stopping the placemark form showing?
Any ideas?

In plugin call above you try to show placemark with ID=2.
As I understand right, you got the map, therefore I can tell that I found map and show it. But if you don't see placemark, probably you just not see its icon. Can you give me link to page, where you display placemark (and didn't see it). I'll check it and give more details.
