Front end editing

Hi all,

I am creating a travel website where we want the traveller to be able to update his location on the road.
This user has only front-end access to make blog posting etc.

Can someone tell me if it is possible (and how) to let some front-end user create his own 'trail' of points and roads travelled.

The least would be to be able to set his "current position", the best would be of course to be able to point on a map and get the marker there automatically. Add a title and done.

Enable user entering placemarks from FrontEnd (it is map settings, in map details in advanced options slider).

OK great that it is possible. I am working in J3.1 and was using the Dutch translation that is incomplete so looking at a but confusing labels. Switched to ENG and it became more clear.
Despite reading and searching the whole wiki I am still struggling a bit so forgive me for asking.
