You can hide it by using styled map, like
joomla.zhuk.cc/index.php/zhgooglemap-demo-styled

It is in map details. Here style from example:

I did it, you can check

j30.zhuk.cc/index.php/zhgooglemap-demo-styled

temporary I set styles, you can see on top of map, I copy and paste styles field.
