I am trying to create a map using kml files. I can create a map using one file.

How do I create a map with two or more kml layers with the ability to switch off a layer if it is not needed?

Hi.

Use paths for it. Each path can has KML file link. Switch on/off - you can use placemark management by group list, but you can use this feature for KML layers. You can see it in my demos

I now have 2 kml files showing on one map having created paths.

I can not work out how to switch these kml files off and on and have controls at the side to do so.

I wrote many times on forum:
As for KML's
- create placemark groups
- assign this groups to paths with KML files
- enable on map (map details) management by group list - just for paths
- in map details also set where you want to have list, what style ...
