Display Categories

Is it possible to setup the map to be able to turn on and off which categories are displayed? Basically I am looking for a list of categories and if i click on an item in the list it will display all of the locations in that category.

If this is possible how is it done?

You can do that, but not categories. You can do it by my Groups (properties, check my forum (I posted many times) and demo) - create groups, apply to placemarks, enable feature...
