Cannot change zoom level to display location group

I'm trying to show a group of businesses all in the state of Florida in one map view but the zoom seems to either show the entire planet or the maximum zoom for the latitude and longitude of the central point I set on the map. Can anyone help?

I can see only map with max zoom. You set on map details zoom =21, and therefore you can see map in max zoom.
You didn't create any placemarks on that map, therefore you can't see any other object, just only map title. If you created placemarks on map, probably you restrict your data on menu item level.

If I change the map zoom in the URL to 7 it zooms to the right distance but when I change it in the component it won't change it in the site. I have created a group of five placemarks that were showing up but now won't show up. I've also tried to turn off the banner that says Economy Dentures Locations but it won't go away.

As for "banner" - you enable infowin on map details - you set "Open InfoWin" to Yes. Set it to No.

As for zoom and placemarks.
I think you enter some extra parameters on Map Menu item. It is override the map parameters (for example, you set zoom, or group list, or placemark list). Ie set empty fields on Menu item and you'll see all as you designed in map configuration.

Excellent advice! That fixed those two issued but I still cannot get any placemarks to show up. Originally I created a category, a placemark group and then five placemarks which at some point disappeared. When I go back into all the settings everything looks like it should work and the individual placemarks still appeared to be correct. I looked at the global settings for the component and the menu item settings and nothing jumped out at me there. I really hope you have one more great idea, I've been fighting with this for a lot of hours.

Placemark List, Category List and so on (in menu item parameters) - it is list of it's IDs, ie not TEXT, it is semicolon separated IDs.

If you remove lists values - you'll see your placemarks.
If you want to show some category - go to category list and get it ID, and enter into menu item parameter field. (look at tooltips, semicolon separated IDs)
