Placemarks from Table was created by BeerDrinker
Hi, I'm really sorry if this should be simple but I've searched everywhere for an answer and I cannot find it...
I have a database table with locations, latitude & longitude. How do I get the contents of the table to display as placemarks / markers? It must require a query somewhere but where?

Hi.
I'm sorry, I didn't understand your question.
You have your own table.
What do you want from my extension. I don't support external data sources. I have tables with data for my extensions. And, of course, you can manual upload your data into my tables.
Can you explain what you mean.

Dima,
I have a table that contains over 200 places with their coordinates. I would like to display these as placemarks on a map. If I select one of the placemarks I would like to go to a new page with details about that place and display a new map wich zooms in on that place.
Let's say I have a table with all the cities I have visited in Europe. The first map would show all of Europe with markers on each city. If I click on a marker a new page would open with details and photos of that city. There may be other information about the visit, who I went with, the weather during the visit, the food I ate, the beer I drank etc.
I have all this data in an existing table. I would like to use this table to generate the pages and have a map on the page that shows the placemark. As I visit more cities I only want to update one table, not have to manually run an update query to write the same data to a separate table.

Hi
For what reason you want to use your own table.
If you want to use my extension, you have to load your placemarks in my structures (tables).
In placemark details there are links - to your own page, to your article.
You can set "Action by click" on placemark to open new page with your article (or something else, for example full placemark HTML description, ie your own formatted text).
You can also use placemark "toolbar" - special buttons to open article or other link.
Ie in my extension you can create markers, and link to it your own articles/pages and so on. In this case you can write any pages as you want, and connect it to placemarks.
And without any your custom table. And you don't need to think how to enter or update data in your table.
