Google map without other users placemarkers

Is it possible to start with an empty Google Map? In my testing I see places, presumably uploaded to Google by other users, which are total wrong. Is it possible to get rid of these, filter out or something. I looked in Google maps website and these places may be POI, points of interest.
If I put my placemarker on my map and Google already show same place in a different location, will my website user believe my information?

If you mean default google's layer with places - yes, you can suppress it.
