I understand this. But it means the for every street view map you have to make a separate street view style.
I don't get the point of this. Why not make the heading / pitch / zoom settings directly in the map itself? That would be less work

I'll try to explain.
StreetView has a lot of options. Not only pitch, zoom.
There are some controls too.
And as I did map with its options (or infobubble styles), I create styles for street view, in this case you can set many options and map with its properties will not be overloaded by parameters.

Sorry for the late response... I missed your last reply.
Maybe I'm confused with the terms. I understand that pitch and zoom can be universal throughout the site. So then only one style is needed.
I just don't understand where to enter the 'viewing angle'. (the direction the camera is actually looking) That one is as unique as long / lat for every map.
But I will play with it a little more. Sorry, on holiday now, so back in the office early June.
