I am developing on my PC using wampserver, so the site is at http://localhost/sitename
I have a sample KML file at C:\wamp\www\sitename\test.kml
How do I set the map to load this file? If i set the KML URL to
http://localhost/sitename/test.kml
the map displays as an extreme close-up of the ocean off West Africa (I presume this is because the KML file is not found?)
Similarly if I just put test.kml in the URL field.
Is it possible to use relative URLs for the KML file?
Is it possible to test this feature on localhost?

Hi.
I don't check in localhost, but I think all should work.
You can try to get, for example, google's KML file, save it local and check if it work. May be you enter incorrect data into your KML file.

It seems that the file has to be somewhere readable by Google, localhost will not work.
Makes sense of course since the map is generated by Google.
I tried saving it as a google document, but although I can save it there and make it public, it will not work.
In the end I ftp'd the file into the /media folder of another site already online.
Thanks for your response!
