KMZ File

Hello,

I am studying your component to see if it will do the following.

I bring up a map in Google Earth. I add an overlay of an older map. This works. What I am trying to do is be able to upload this overlay which I understand must be done as a KMZ file... and I also would like to have Placemarks in the map display too.

Is this possible? I saw a Demo of a New Zealand overlay that looked like it might be what I am trying to do. Am just working to understand how to accomplish a map plus an overlay plus having placemarks too.

As you mean about NZ Topomap - it is custom tiles, which I use. It stored in site and I only define Get Tile URL function, like OSM map, or the others.

If you want to use your custom map, custom layer, you can generate your tiles by any favorite program, and publish your tiles as your custom layer.

Ie you have to create your map type (if you have map image)

And after that you simple create placemarks on your map
