Clarification for updating from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 was created by anotart
Hi,
I've been using your ZHGoogleMap since Joomla 1.5! Thank you!!
I'm not clear how to migrate to Joomla 4. Do I just update ZHGoogleMap to the Joomla 4 version after updating Joomla Core to 4? Does all my existing data remain?
Thank you!
Anne

Well -- I moved ahead with migrateme4 (because I knew I could back out). For anyone else with this question, I moved forward with the migration because I'm using MigrateMe4 and knew I could back out. Updated to Joomla 4, and then updated with J4 ZhGoogleMap version. The one gotcha was my shortcode had a ";" at the end that worked before, but not now. That was preventing the map from displaying in the article. Once that was removed, everything works perfectly -- thanks for this cool extension -- just wish I had more uses for it!

Hi
Sorry for delay, I didn't see your message.
Yes all your data is still stored, because you don't do uninstall.
There is only one thing - you need manually uninstall plugins for j3 versions (it have the less version than for j4)

Now, I didn't see YOUR reply -- went to my spam. Thank you for this information -- I hadn't removed the old plugin. All set now!
