Parse error:

I tried this option "Enables the use of ASP-like <% %> tags in addition to the usual tags. This includes the variable-value printing shorthand of <%= $value %>."

but still didnt work..
I tried also closing the php tag, from the file and I get it loads the page but without the module.

Problem still there..

Very strange.
Try to reinstall module. It doesn't have any data, therefore you can't lost anything.

What module version, what joomla version. Do you install appropriate module (for joomla version)
