I see that, but the main map is set to a zoom level of 4 to see the entire country, but I want the module to display the map at zoom level 12 focused on a specific placemark when I load a page describing a specific location. I tried selecting a zoom level but it required a click on the placemark to zoom in.

Is it possible to set the module to zoom in on a placemark automatically without user interaction using the module?

Don`t think so.
The only way i think, is to create articles, loading the plugin and create menu-links with that articles.
No need for a module.

That is what I thought. Now I am stuck in the same issue. I want to run the plugin on the page but I cannot unless it is in an article. I want to place it in a custom module so I can control the location of the map better. Unfortunately the plugin doesn't seem to work in modules. I am stuck.

Sry, i dont understand, what you want to control?

The plugin calls the map.
At the plugin-parameters you can override some map-settings.

Create a new article, load the plugin and the map gets displayed in your content.

Maybe you need an additional menu for the map-articles?

I have to redesign the template for the map pages to maintain the content on the top of the article. I was originally hoping that I could place the map using modules, but I am sure I can rethink the design to work with this limitation. It is too bad the overrides were not available in the module as well.

You could create a spezial <DIV> in your article, load the plugin and give the <DIV> some CSS-styling.

Also you could use the build in features of the map to load the map in a special <DIV>.
