Creating placemarkers independent of maps

Reading the documents & forum, I'm aware that maps can pull placemarks that have been initially links to other maps.

For future versions, would it be better if placemarks are created independent of maps. Just create placemarks, then place them in either Cat1, Cat2, Cat3 etc etc.

Then when a maps is created, we can select which category of placemarks to pull or just a few individual placemarks.

I'm still getting use to this multi-features extension. Perhaps, existing ways are just as simple when I get use to it.

Hi. You are not clear understand.

Yes, placemarks are belonging to map.

But you can show placemarks from the other maps.
- for component - use fields category list, group list...
- for plugin - call by category list, group list...

In that case I'm not use map property to get placemarks.
For example, component:
* Placemark List
* Placemark Group List
* Category List
- if any of this fields is set - I ignore the map property to select placemarks

I guess it's just how things are done. Zhgoogle is very dynamic, with many options. I will be exploring all your options.

I was just seeing from a user point of view. I will definitely have hundreds of placemarks - key in one by one. I don't know mysql mass import ... but not complaining

Seeing from my angle, wouldn't it be good, if I just key in all the 100s of placemarks, group or categorizes them, then, when I create maps, I just select the placemarks or categories I want from a dropdown menu. Then for the plugin code for inserting in the article, I just insert, say "zhgoogle: map id xxx"

Just a wishlist, not a complaint. So, thanks for this great extension.

But for more flexibility, I'm using lists, ie comma separated IDs.
As for show simple map, or simple placemark - it can. But as for lists, I need some more addition code to parse-show, I decided how to do, but it needs some time to coding
