As for colors in file.
I use third party library to show KML. And now I only know how set color and opacity. Whether or not it can parse KML file and use its own parameters - I don't know.
Sorry, probably in future it will be fixed.

If you have example file with a few lines with different colors - can you give me (my email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) I'll check it, probably parse it by myself and will not use third party library to display paths.
