Two comments:

For popup (2) all i need is a linkable title and optional text (meta description) / photo (if any).

For 3. I describe what I'm doing to be clear: a directory of Mountains, Shelters, Climbing Areas etc, from joomla articles, with their own custom marker (per catecory), all in a map.
+ Some zh placeholders that can be displayed on this map. And those with custom markers.
So all of these should have a uniform look, something like this:
