there is no restriction to how many placemarks are in your map.

moreover, you can enable loading placemarks by ajax (mootools or jquery). In this case the map page will be very quickly loaded and yo can use your position to load placemarks to your map bounds

The problem with the placemark list not showing up is resolved.
The parameter: "Loading map objects dynamically" was set to jquery. When I changed it back to "none", my placemarklist reapeared.

I already looked at the KML file system but i don't understand it very well. I'll look into it. Or can you help me out to start this? Ofcourse I can pay for it ...
