Hi.
Sorry, I've mistaken. I thought you mean frontend sorting - placemark list (in star button), and group list when you enable placemark group control.
But if you expect admin - I can do a little release, which is only for admin panel.
Look at it
Placemark sorted by ID
Ordering by order Item, as you can see - it groups by categories
The same, but for groups
And if you manage your users - you can filter by user - in table header select your user

Hi Dmitry,
That looks fine. If I can control the Administrator Placemark ordering, then I can use that to match the standard Joomla 'contacts' ordering to ensure every contact has a placemark, and it will be very easy to find if there is someone missing and 'where' it is missing from.
If possible, I would prefer the 'ordering' to be independent of the categories.
Because if it is linked to the categories, I cannot 'order' Placemarks independently of the categories. But if the ordering is independent of the categories, then I have to option manually set the order so the categories are part of the ordering. Does that make sense?
Many thanks for your quick response.
Best regards
Alan

Yes, I understand you. I've struggling 2 days to remove this dependence, but without success
I shown it in placemark details and set it for update, but in this case when you hit it in table view - all recalculated . And I'm thinking of adding the other field to "manual" sort.
But I need a few experiments, may be I can do it independent. And I try to read more about ordering, will search the net.
As you can see - in all joomla's lists it depends on category (I'm not well know all joomla, but where I check - the dependence is exists).

Hi,
I've just got to entering the data with a different category.
I see what you mean.
In that case, what you have will be fine as the Placemarks ordering will be identical to the default Joomla ordering.
Many thanks for your time and effort on this.

Check Exnension Manager for new releases. I've done.
But it is not in JED yet, until I'll do the same for J!3 version
