KML Manager by Group List was created by cpaddon@q.com
Can you please explain in detail exactly the steps you took in creating your KML Manager by Group List demo:
joomla.zhuk.cc/index.php/zhgooglemap-mai...-map-with-kmlmanager
I followed your documentation on inserting a KML file and an overlay PNG file into the appropriate fields in a Paths tab, assigned it to a Group and the Map Title. I have also added the corresponding ID#'s to the Path List field and the Path Group List field in the Map Menu Details Tab.
However, I still cannot get the KML or the PNG file to appear on my map.
I assume I need to create a separate Path item for each KML and overlay file, is that correct?
Please advise.
Thank you!

Hi.
Create map, set in its details group management (Group Control, Group Type).
Create groups (set active for group you want to see it enabled)
Assign to your placemarks, paths.
In map details you have also to set Manage Placemarks (if you want manage it), and Manage Paths (if you want manage it)

OK, that helps. Thank you.
However, I still cannot get a ground overlay PNG image to appear on the map. I keep getting the error message: "Error in defining ground overlay bounds" when the map loads. I have double checked the Lat and Lon data but to no avail.
Please advise.

Hi.
You have to define overlay bounds.
It is 2 coordinates, separated by ;
Ie left bottom coordinate lat1,lng1
top right coordinate lat2,lng2
On the other words
lat1,lng1;lat2,lng2
In this case image will appear correctly

OK, that helped. (I had the coordinates reversed).
I WAS successful getting it to appear on the map, however now I can't turn it off.
I assigned its Path to a Group and it appears in the Group Menu at the side of the map. Clicking on its group menu item has no effect. (Group menu is set to "toggle"). The overlay remains visible regardless. I set the Opacity Management switch to ON and set the opacity value to 0.5. The overlay appears at that opacity value but the opacity control does not show on the map.
How can I turn off the overlay with the map controls on the front end of the website?
You have designed an awesome, feature-rich Joomla map component! But it has a steep learning curve.
Thank you for all your help!

I found the Overlay Opacity enabling control under the Map Controls tab.
Is there a way to display multiple overlays on one map and be able to turn each one off/on separately?
This is a website for amateur radio emergency communications and the overlays are repeater coverage plots.
Thanks!
