One question.
You use Joomla 3.2.5.
But current release it is 3.8.5
Why you don't use last version?
Probably, in previous releases, function, which I use to protect SQL-injection was not a function, probably was a procedure. And in this case I have to analyze versions and use different calls. Tomorrow I'll get your release and read more joomla documentation

I have a friend who's a programmer. He put the site online and, when I started customizing it, he told me not to update it to the last versions without asking him because he did something manually and was afraid the site could crash.
Now I ask him if it can be upodated

No. I didn't anything with your server and site.
I find out, that up to j.3.5.0 there was procedure (to protect SQL-injection), and from 3.5 - it is new function. I use function, therefore for your version of joomla I need to fix this. Today I'll fix my component and will give you new alpha-version to check. And if it will be OK, I'll prepare new release.
