Using of the tag in article

I think your problem caused right top button.
Change article properties (to remove it) for this page and I think all will be OK.

If you press on this button, you'll see one menu item. I can't translate it, but you can understand what it means.
You can open your article with map. Open tab Options.
You can see Use Global for all list items (by default). Just set Hide for your case. In this case your button will be hidden.
And I think all will be OK

Or it is from the other tab "Configure Edit Screen"
Probably "Show Article Options" list item. Try to change it to No and check.

Sorry Dima...can't find this option...I even went into "article options" and tried to hide enything in global options but without success...are you sure that is possible to hide that button?

I understand. This button allow Edit article from FrontEnd.
You can try to disable Edit article from front end, or, for example, create the other user and assign to it rules not admin, ie it by ACL (permissions) will not have ability to change article from front end. in this case this button will not be displayed.
