I find problem - it is my fault.
I didn't publish last version. Now I've added it into update server and in JED.
Upgrade and check again. I think it will fix your problem

it now goes directly to google map now, but no map is showing up. maybe something is not loading correctly. loading with jquery or mootools does not work.

i use windows 8 with google chrome, firefox or IE. the kmz data is showing up, but not the google earth map. when i click on satellite, then back to earth it shows up, but not on load.

OK.
I've changed the code (event to fire map type changing). May be not all map object loaded when your map tries to changing type to earth.

Check new alfa version
