Hi Xavier
The projection in OSM and Google is the same. Coordinates are equial.
Today I started development import from Google and Yandex extensions.
You can see Utilities tab in OpenStreetMap extension.
Today I only inport groups, but in a few weeks - all of data.
I step by step include featues, which are in Google's extension.

As for hovering - I decided how I will do it, and in a few days the new release will be with this feature.

Today I still not implement AJAX loadin infowin content, AJAX loading map objects, infobubble (tabs in infowin), cluster icon overriding, detail view of placemark, user entering placemarks and so on.
As you can see - this options you can enable. But I'm thinking of it and when have time - implement and do releases.

It's too hard to implement all features with short free time. But I'm trying.

As for styling. I think you should check different map types.
For example this is some demos
leaflet-extras.github.io/leaflet-providers/preview/

Not urgent, just a little question about styling.
If i go on your link, i can see several style.
Ok, in example i can see this style :
Provider names for leaflet-providers.js
Esri.WorldTerrain
Plain JavaScript:

var Esri_WorldTerrain = L.tileLayer(' server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/serv...rver/tile/{z}/{y}/{x }', {
attribution: 'Tiles © Esri — Source: USGS, Esri, TANA, DeLorme, and NPS',
maxZoom: 13
});

How to include this in the map as i don't see for now the "styling" tab ? Maybe it is not already encoded.
If so, i will wait, no issue :)

tileLayer => it is simple map type in my component. Go to map types.
Create new one, set it map, not overlay.
Enter URL into field "URL template", tooltip for this field explains by example.
Attribution HTML text enter into "Map type attribution" field.

After that you can enable Custom Map types in map details. And enter map type ID into next field. If you want to set it by default - set Map type to First Custom map type.
Thats all.
