Hi Clemens
You can easy display GPX file, just create path, and enter File Layer fields.
You can also use flexible my Internal parser with its options on this tab.
Current state
- KML\GPX types use paths options for colors, opacity...
- KML (Internal Parser)/GPX (Internal Parser) types use options below, ie in "Internal Parser Options" section

Or do you want to import data from this file as placemarks and paths?

These can be exported.
Sometimes it may be, that i have a tour ove a few days, then it may be that i have to import it as path and placemark.

You can just easy create path and enable elevation diagram
Here my demo
joomla.zhuk.cc/index.php/zhosmmap-main/o...eature-gpx-elevation
Ie just get file, upload it into your server and define path with file layer (GPX or GPX (Internal Parser)

I mean if you just need to show your route, you don't need to import all that data, just display file.
Or do you need to get placemarks from file to edit, create some more features?
