Diagram - it is simple svg image, which is drawn on map or out of it. You can apply any CSS style.

I asked because I want to change other things too. Some maps have placemarks so i would like to change the styles.

All my map elements have my own class names. Elevation chart - it's own.
You can easy change CSS in your template.
In some cases you need to enter !important to override style
You can also create your own CSS files and use it in map definition on Advanced tab. I can load this files too.

If you have placemarks in GPX file, by default I tried to show placemark with its icons, but by default GPX file has only icon name, and this name doen't have link to real png file.
I created ability to upload your own icon to special folder (name you can get from GPX file by open in any text editor, "sym" tag)
Icons you need to upload to folders on server
administrator/components/com_zhosmmap/assets/gpx/
components/com_zhosmmap/assets/gpx/
In png format
The first folder - it is for administration part (for case my component option "Compatibility for resourse file" is disabled
The second folder - in case you enable this option
I'll write this in my docs, I forgot to mention it

Placemark is not clickable. I think you set Action by click to No.
For disable show lat/lng just set in placemark details "Show GPS" to No
