That is really fantastic!
I will now prepare a new map and will post here how it looks like, so you can see your work!
I do not even need the clauses I wrote earlier as I can get everything by sql query.
The only thing I would need is to be able to put the date of the start/end point, which is in a separate column in the table.

The main thing it is you are really do everything with sql query.
If your dates are in table column, you can get it in query too.
And for first and last points I can get it and show (in structure configuration)
It have to be datetime format (for correct processing). And display format you can change by map overrides. I'll write example.

Yes, I know. What I do not know is where to put and what syntax in order to achieve it.
One problem I noticed:
When I have a map and a list of groups, clicking a group make the path disappear/appear, but the start/end logos do not disappear. They stay permanently on the map.

Hi.
I did release and add more description for placemarks and date of creation.
For your case to hide your placemarks go to map details and set "Manage Placemarks" to Yes. As I think now you enabled managing only path
